Week 5 in 5I

Week 5 has been a busy week across the school with it being Parent’s Week.
We have been lucky enough in 5I to have had parents come in across the week,
joining in our Maths and English lessons, which the children have absolutely loved
and seeing them engage and share their knowledge with you has been great!

In English this week we have been mastering our poetry skills, looking at improving
our vocabulary and including extra detail with the use of similes, metaphors and
personification to add to our acrostic “PARENTS” poem.

In Maths we have been busy developing our addition and subtraction skills,
looking at the column method approach and inverse operations.

During CCS this week we have put our presentation skills to work,
presenting our research we have conducted about people who have changed
the world.

And in Science this week we have been conducting investigations on how to separate
different materials.

Several of the girls in 5I played in their first U11 Basketball game Vs. Ascot,
where they won their first game of the season...so a huge “well done” to them!
Excited for next week's activities already!
