Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
What a spooktastic week it has been! Thursday was of course the highlight of the week; the children looked truly terrifying in their costumes and a great deal of fun was had by all at our spooky carnival. A huge thank you to all the parents who helped make it such a memorable and successful event. We simply can't wait till next year!
The spookiness continued in class this week as the children completed their suspense and mystery genre stories in English. The children's writing keeps on improving week on week and we're sure you'll be impressed when you see the results for yourself later on in the term. In Maths we have been revising how to calculate the area and perimeter of shapes while in Science we have learnt about the gestation periods of different animals.
Just a quick reminder that our residential trip is fast approaching. A packing list has now been added to our Year 5 Google Classroom so if you have misplaced the original you will be able to see exactly what your child needs to bring on the trip. It promises to be a fantastic experience for us all.
It's been another incredible week, we wish you all a safe and restful weekend and look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday.
The Year 5 Team
