Week 8 in Year 5 O
Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
It has been an amazing action packed first half term in Year 5 O. The first eight weeks have simply flown by and as we reflect on our year together so far the children have much to feel proud about. We have seen wonderful progress across our core subjects, I was particularly impressed by the independent writing task the children completed as part of our first assessment week. The children demonstrated great strides forward in their writing skills, well done everyone! The improvements made of course stem from the children's desire to improve and get better in everything they do. I look forward to seeing this attitude continue in the weeks and months ahead.
This week the children have demonstrated great team working skills across a range of different subjects. In Maths the children worked collaboratively to create Square Number Towers while in Art the whole of Year 5 joined forces to create some stunning Black History inspired portraits. Those of you joining us for the Parents Open Day on Wednesday 23rd October will be impressed by the results on display I am sure.
It's been a fantastic first half of Term 1 and we can't wait to get started again after the holiday. We wish you all a safe and happy half term break and look forward to seeing you all again on Monday 21st October.
Kindest regards and best wishes,
Mr Owen & Miss Ann
