Week 15 in Year 5

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

The festive holidays are fast approaching, but that doesn't mean a let up in the exciting events happening here at Regents International School. This week Matt Dickinson, author and adventurer, spoke to our Year 5 students about climbing Mount Everest as well as writing and publishing children's books.

A huge thank you to Matt who inspired us all with tales of his experiences ... I wonder if we have any future Mount Everest conquerors or authors amongst our Year 5 students?

King's Project Year 5 Competition Winners:

Congratulations to our Year 5 winners and all those who took part. Judging the different entries must have been a tough task as there were so many wonderful creations on show. Well done everyone.

In class students have been busy focusing on their RE Week activities and in particular the concept of 'forgiveness'. Through role play, story telling and independent research students have explored the concept of forgiveness and found what an important part it plays in so many of the religions practiced around the world.

Reminders:

  • Parent teacher meetings next week, please sign up on Engage if you have not done so already.
  • There are no ECAs or Thai for Thai sessions next week.
  • School will close at 12.00 on Friday 13th December.

We wish you all a safe and restful weekend,

The Year 5 Team
