Week 6 in Year 5

Week 6 in Year 5 has been an action packed 4 days…we have had lots of birthday

celebrations across the year group, which has been a lovely experience to celebrate

together.

It too has been assessment week, where the children have

been working tremendously hard to apply themselves and

do their best. In English we have been planning and writing

our ‘Discussion Texts’ and us teachers cannot wait to mark

them and see what amazing things the children have written! 

In Maths we have completed our unit on ‘Addition and Subtraction’

where the children have really excelled themselves and next week

we will be starting our new topic of ‘Multiplication and Division’.

During CCS this week we have begun to look at ‘Timelines’ and looking

at the purpose and they can be used. The children have even had a go

at sequencing different events as a group, before beginning to research

influential people and independently placing them along a timeline.

And in ICT this week we have been busy presenting all about how to stay safe online.

Thank you to all those who have paid their deposit for the Residential Trip, not long until we go now!
