Term 2 Week 4 in Year 5

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

What a fantastic week it has been! A special thank you to Year 5 O for a wonderful assembly this week and to all the parents who were able to join us on Friday afternoon. Watching the assembly, I couldn't help but be reminded of my own first day at a new school, I certainly wasn't as lucky to be joining such a kind and talented class. Well done Y5O! You put in a lot of hard work over the week; you should feel very proud of your assembly.

In class this week the children have continued to develop their knowledge of famous poets and the different features and techniques that bring their poems to life. In Maths we have continued our focus on fractions while in CCS the children have carried out research into their favourite impressionist painters. In PSHE the children have continued to develop their knowledge of how to stay healthy.

While in Science, the children have worked hard on their living things topic and are clearly developing a great set of green fingers!

A quick reminder that School photos will be taking place next week, information regarding exact times for each class are available in your child's blue book.

We wish you all a safe and restful weekend,

The Year 5 Team
